Finding flow within motherhood with Reiki

You know when everything simply feels ‘off’? You can’t explain why or what’s going on, but you know you’re in a motherhood funk. It’s no one fault… it’s just that we’re in the thick of it.

As mums, we all do. It can be from a multitude of things that we navigate in motherhood - unbalanced or raging hormones, heightened nervous system, lack of sleep, underlying stress, burn out, lack of identity, disconnection to the body, minimal to nil time for self… Shall I go on?

Reiki is so helpful for us in these times because it’s all about helping to bring you back to self to make the hard times a little bit easier.

  1. It’s time to enjoy some stillness and silence. You’re in a space that fosters YOUR needs without any interruptions. That in itself is a form of motherhood heaven.

  2. When we are being held in genuine care, it allows us to take of all the hats of responsibility. The duties are left at the door and the mental load is invited to take a wee break. When was the last time someone truely cared for and listened to you?

  3. Reiki works to ease the noise that takes up so much space in the head by shifting the busy energy and moving it through the body. This can help you to think a little clearer and start to see with fresh eyes, where, why and how this Rutt might be blocking your mojo.

  4. By focusing on blockages first, Reiki aims to clear anything that is unhelpful or unneeded. Clearing and nurturing these parts of you with love, allows us to make room for what is you desire.

  5. And what do you want to experience within Motherhood? What would you like to invite into your heart and your home?

    Clarity, Confidence, Creativity, Joy? Ask and you shall Receive… Reiki helps you to make friends with your intentions and teaches you ways to build these qualities into your everyday life.

  6. Reiki is more than a 90min session of wanky self care…. When you recieve Reiki with me… My aim is to set you up for success at home. You get to take this with you so that you can find your flow at home, amidst the mayhem.

  7. Practice makes Permanence… They Call Reiki a practice for a reason. It takes time to instil deep seeded benefits of Reiki into your lifestyle. Just like muscle memory, it takes time to learn to lean in, especially while your in the thick of motherhood. It’s not imperative to have ongoing Reiki, however a good few sessions will give you the best outcome.

As busy mums, it can be so easy to do the research, chuck it on the to-do list and never actually carve out the time. So this is my encouragement to you. Tick the box, Make the appointment, give yourself something to look forward to. And remember - it’s not just about you, this kind of self care work flows onto your babies. Do it for them.
